Wedding Flower Centerpieces

OK, now you have your wedding plans made and you are thinking about the decorations. You will need wedding flower centerpieces for the church and for the reception tables. There are a lot of different types of flowers that you can use; there are silk flowers, crepe paper flowers you can buy or make, real flowers, and then there are mulberry paper flowers.
The silk flowers can be bought singly or already made up into centerpieces. You can buy the single flowers in super centers, craft stores, and some floral shops. The wedding flower centerpieces that are already made up you can purchase at floral shops, specialty stores, and on the Internet websites.
Real flowers can be purchased the same way either singly or made up already. The only problem with real flowers is unless they are kept cool and damp they will wilt and die and so they are not easy to keep for any length of time.
Crepe paper flowers can be made by you or family members and can be used over and over for other special occasions after the wedding is over. And they will not wilt or die if they are made in advance of the wedding.
All you will need to do is make several of the flowers you are using for your wedding bouquets etc. and then get some pretty vases or other containers that you think will be pretty to show off your flowers add some small pebbles, sand, or small marbles to the containers and put your crepe paper flowers in these then add some greenery to fill in around your flowers and there you have a beautiful wedding flower centerpiece made by you.
These paper flower centerpieces can be recycled or reused if kept in a safe dry area for years to come. So this makes them eco-friendly too.
You can make mulberry paper flowers out of mulberry paper or you can buy them already made up either as just a single flower or in bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, or wedding flower centerpieces etc. The easiest way is to buy your flowers already made.
If you want to buy the flower that is already made and then make your own flower designs this is also a way to make them less expensive to save on your wedding budget. And they will not take as much time to do. All you need to do is buy some of the mulberry paper flowers get a container that will compliment your wedding add some type of filler for the container such as Styrofoam, small rock, sand, or small marbles and then add your flowers and greenery in the design of your choice.
These centerpieces will be your own unique design so you can take the credit for all the compliments that you get on how wonderful the beautiful wedding flower centerpieces look and you can be proud of your creations.
Mulberry paper flowers can be purchased on the Internet as single flowers as I have stated or they can be bought already made up into centerpieces. There are several web sites that sell mulberry paper flowers make sure you check out a couple of them to find the flowers that you are looking for.
Bridal Shower Games Ideas
- Don't Say Wedding - When guests arrive at the shower, you give them 5 mini wooden clothespins, safety pins or beads on a yarn necklace (basically five of any item that they can attach to themselves or around their necks without having to hold them). Explain the basic premise of the game by warning them that if they get caught by another guest saying 'wedding' at any time during the shower, they have to give that person one of their clothespins. At the end of the shower, the guest who has collected the most clothespins wins the game.
A great variation on this game is to give guests at a luau or beach wedding themed shower a lei when they arrive. They lose their lei if they are caught saying the word 'wedding'. Another variation is to make it Don't Say Bride (instead of Don't Say Wedding).
Toilet Paper Wedding Dress - Break the shower guests into groups of 3 or more people. Then give each group a roll of tape and three or four rolls of toilet paper (you can get really cheap TP at the dollar store or Costco). One person in the group acts as the bride and the other group members design a wedding dress on her made from the toilet paper (wrapping it around her, tying it into bows, making a veil, etc). Give them 20 minutes to create the gown. Then have a fashion show where each group parades their bride around. Then either everyone votes on the best dress or the bride chooses her favorite toilet paper wedding gown. Give the winning 'bride' and her design team a small favor or gift as a prize. This game will have everyone laughing!
How Old Am I? - Have either the bride or the bride's Mom provide 10 to 12 pictures of the bride at various ages throughout her life (baby through the present). Hang each photo on a poster board or lay them on a flat table (be sure to number them). Give guests blank paper and ask that they write down what age they think the bride was in each numbered photo. The guest who gets the most correct answers wins. It is a fun game to play while the guests are mingling, snacking, and getting to know one another.
Wear the Teddy - This game will really generate some laughs (and anxiety). Basically this is a twist on the classic hot potato game. Instead of being out of the game if you are holding the teddy when the timer goes off, you get to model the teddy. Because it is a bridal shower, just put the guests in a circle and play once for a set time.
You place a wedding teddy bear in a gift box wrapped in pretty paper or in a brown paper bag and seal it up. Then tell your guests to pass the bag or box from person to person as fast as possible because whoever is stuck holding the bag when the timer goes off has to model the teddy! They'll be frantically passing the bag they think holds a lingerie teddy. Before the game starts, tell guests that if they might be uncomfortable modeling the teddy, they can sit out of the game. Just set an egg timer out of sight for a 1 minute. Ask whoever has the box or bag when the timer buzzes to go into the bathroom and come out to model the teddy for everyone. Laughter will erupt when she comes out holding a teddy bear.
Bride Trivia Game - Which one of your guests truly knows the bride best? Before the shower, have the bride answer 10 or more questions about herself and provide you with the answers. Then at the shower, have the guests answer the same questions (you can print out this game for free at several online websites or generate your own game sheets with questions tailored especially to your bride). The guest who gets the most answers right wins. Some question ideas are: Where did the Bride & Groom meet? Where did they have their first kiss? Biggest pet peeve? What color is the shirt she is wearing today? Are her fingernails painted today? Favorite food? Favorite color? Favorite book? Weirdest habit?
